Make a Pages document without page breaks?

Is there a way to make a Pages document that is continuous (not interrupted by page breaks, as if it were to be printed on a scroll)? I'm using Pages 7.1 in OS 10.12.6 ("Sierra").

You could try making a Custom Page size.

The image shows the top of a single page document, reduced to 25% of full size for viewing. The page is 21.6cm (8 1/2 inches) wide by 999.9cm (about 400 inchs) tall.

Longer 'scrolls' may be possible—I didn't check.

In Pages, open a new word processing document, then go to the File Menu and choose Page Setup. Make the settings shown in the dialog below:

As can be seen in the first image, the 'page' was able to contain 6700 words in

15 pt Apple Chancery. More mar be possible.

Did you pause to read the description and instructions?

Here they are again:

The image and the dialogue mentioned are in my first reply (as are those instructions).

You will not 'find' "Scroll" there. It is a Custom paper size I created to provide a solution to your issue.

Here are some more detailed steps to follow:

With the Pages document opened, go to the File menu and choose Print Setup.

The dialogue that opens should look similar to this:

Click on the Paper Size popup, and choose Manage Custom Sizes…

(Your dialogue will probably NOT include the two greyed sizes in the second section of the list. These are custom sizes that were user-created, and were not included in the set of paper sizes supplied with the computer or its software.)

On releasing the mouse button, a new dialogue will open:

Your dialogue will be similar, but the numbers in the boxes will likely be different, and the list on the left side will likely be empty.

When your settings are made, click OK to save the new Custom Page Size and close the dialogue.

You will be returned to the Print Setup dialogue with your paper size set to your new Custom Page Size.

Click OK to close this dialogue.

Start entering your text.

PS: There's no problem with having two versions of Pages on your computer, but be aware that Pages '09 (version 4.x) is no longer supported, and will not run under the next version of macOS. Newer versions of Pages, including 7.1 will open documents created using Pages '09, but will lose any features used in the document that are supported in Pages '09, but are not supported in later versions. Once saved from Pages 7.1, the document will no longer be openable in Pages '09.
